Adapting the iconic comic series of Steve Dillon and Garth Ennis into a television show is definitely not an easy task. However, the makers behind the Preacher have done an excellent job.
This film has gone out of its way to build up the background of some beloved characters including Cassidy, Tulip, and Jesse. Instead of plunging straight away into the storyline, character reveal comes later.

Logan Lucky is an American comedy film by Steven Soderbergh and based on a screenplay from Rebecca Blunt. Soderbergh’s own company, the Fingerprint Releasing, distributed the film independently.
The movie stars Adam Driver and Channing Tatum and was set in the rural area of West Virginia where Tatum and Driver plan a robbery heist in a nearby speedway. Instead of the usual good old boy country stereotype, the film subverts from such a stereotype without getting too sentimental.
The scenes are fast-moving and filled with a lot of twists and turns while coming across a lot of interesting characters that include a convict named Joe Bang, and surprisingly, a blond Daniel Craig who looks nothing like James Bond.
15. The Americans
Set during the 1980’s Cold War period, The Americans is a spy thriller film by Joe Weisberg, which he created for the FX television network.
It tells the story of two Soviet KGB officers who were posing as an American married couple from the suburbs of Washington DC, along with their kids. To their friends and neighbors, they are just a regular couple that loves apple pies. One of the neighbors happens to be an FBI agent working for counterintelligence.
The film creates a climate of fear and mutual distrust. It depicts the challenges that the Soviet agents have to go through while living in a US suburb. Their job requires them to photograph secret documents, plant bugs, assassinate double agents, etc. Of course, their marriage is a sham and their relationship is based on a professional union to help aid their cover.
