I have tried to use both. I usually get a “OOps this won’t work. The Link is broken.” I use CyberFlix and Typhoon, they seen to want to use the default player. Which is ExoPlayer. So, any suggestions for the best link to use to play. I have heard Google is the best, but that link is few and far between.

I have both VLC and MX. I have yet to be able to watch a movie. Just buffers all the time. I have got great wifi/internet. As it shows on my firestick. Don’t know if it’s a player or what. What can I do to find out what’s causing the buffering? Is it my player????

With everyone being home, I am no surprised you are having buffering issues. Real-Debrid is a premium service that eliminates most buffering. Look into it. I did and have virtually no buffering except when watching in 4K.

Neither are reliable players when used with Redbox TV or HDstreamz…..live tv streams either freeze or the channel drops out after only a couple of minutes on Firestick or Kodi….yet to find a good player which will hold up!

I have both installed, had no idea they even had menus…haha. I have been using the internal player on my live tv streaming apps. They really dont give me a choice in that matter. When using cyberflix or Typhoon, i use whichever i can get the best playback with., I dont have the best of luck with VLC either.

I have tried both over the years.
VLZ was the cheap goto for playing customers DVDs with all different codecs.
MX is an Android thing so never tried till Firestick.
VLZ was last resort and MX light enough for stick.

Both over rated and caused more issues with my firestick than any other app.
Only try these and one at a time. Meaning delete one then install the other if and only if the onboard player is shot.
Been glitch and studder and buffer free once I factory reset and simplified.

I started out using mxpro but then I started getting audio but no video,I read about codecs and how to fix it but I’m not that tech savvy. I switched to yes player and it was good but if I Reyes fastforwarding sometimes it would freeze for a bit,if I tried rewinding it would freeze totally,I’ve since switched to VLC PLAYER and its great! I can go back and forth or pause with no problems and I get near zero buffering but I also have real-debrid.
