The Disney Plus launch Europe slated for March 24 is set to come with a slashed bandwidth of about 25% less. This announcement came along with another. The company has delayed the initial launch until the 7th of April in France.
According to Kevin Mayer, the delay is in response to a request by the European Union government.
Netflix had a similar announcement to make this past Thursday. The company said it would limit content streaming quality for the next month or so. This is while the majority of Europe remains under quarantine due to the COVID-19 crisis.
These restrictions are meant to ease the strain posed by the worldwide lockdown on communications networks.

Due to the French government’s request, the Disney Plus launch Europe: France edition will happen on the 7th of April. This is instead of the 24th of March like the rest of Europe.
